I would like to thank a great number of individuals who generously contributed their time and talent to ensure the 2006 competition ran smoothly and successfully. 

The Chief Steward, Rick Homer, did a more than admiral job of what can easily become an overwhelming task.  In spite of this being Rick’s first Provincial as Chief Steward, he kept his cool where, otherwise, others may have lost theirs. 

Our Social Convener, Mary Homer, did an outstanding job of organizing her committees and ensuring that everything  ran smoothly , including the Chief Steward.

On my behalf and that of the Chief Steward and Social Convener we would like to thank Sharon Cole, Pat Marion and Helène Ellis  for organizing and preparing the wonderful luncheon for the Judges and Stewards. 

 Our special thanks to Larry  and Sharon Cole for performing duties of Registrar and for tabulating the results of the competition .  The Registrar also would like to thank Ted Adye , Colin Nicholson and Michael Warren for their assistance in the registration process.

A special thank you as well to Helène Ellis and her crew for  one of the best Meet and Greets at a Provincial Competition and to Jackie Wrinch,  whose talent and efforts in decorating  made the Meet and Greet and the Banquet very special. 

There seemed to be general agreement that the AGM held on Sunday morning was one of the best attended in many years.  A huge thank you and our  appreciation go to Marg Best for her generous contribution of home made fare that we all partook of at the meeting. 

One of the greatest successes attributed to this Provincial was the result of the Silent Auction.  Glenda Kirk deserves her own medal for the countless hours spent in organizing and collecting the items sold at auction.  Along with the assistance of Sandy Kirk, Lawrie Thicke, Pat George and Lamont Brooks, Glenda organized and ran one of our most successful auctions to date.

 Of course, without our contributors there would be no auction, Our heartfelt thanks go  out to all of you.
